Our Team
Lawrence has more than 20 years of management experience, including 13 years in international banking. While working at IBM, Citibank, and Diners Club International, he held management positions in business operations and systems, marketing, customer service, finance, business development, consulting and general management. His last assignment with a Fortune 500 company was as Managing Director of Latin America, overseeing 16 businesses in 23 countries and almost three (3) billion dollars in annual sales. Lawrence has extensive experience launching new businesses, products and services both nationally and internationally.
As a former world-class sprinter and two-time Olympian, Lawrence has more than two decades of studying the role of nutrition and exercise physiology to achieve peak performance. Today, he continues to pursue nutrition and wellness training.
Lawrence is a graduate of Yale University, New Haven, where he studied Economics and Political Philosophy. He obtained his MBA in Finance & Marketing from Northwestern University, Evanston, and has completed post-graduate studies in Latin America and Europe in International Studies and Languages.
Brenda Miller, Partner & Director of Operations
Brenda, a former owner of Chico Skin & Body Care, has been a massage therapist and personal trainer for over ten years. Prior to becoming a massage therapist, she enjoyed a career in education spanning 23 years nationally and internationally. She taught for over 8 years in Zaire, Africa and Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. Brenda has also coached several sports, served as athletic director, department chair, and headed several committees involved with curriculum and accreditation.
As a certified personal trainer, who completed her first marathon at the age of 50, Brenda is very involved in the wellness field and is passionate about helping others achieve and maintain their personal health. She was instrumental in developing the women's athletic department at Austin College, where she was a player/coach in the first volleyball competition and coached the first softball team.
Brenda attended Austin College in Sherman, Texas, where she received a BA in Physical Education and Sociology. She also received her MA in Education from Austin College and has taken several post-graduate classes.
Shari Miller, Partner & Vice President of Medical Services
Shari has been a cardiovascular and thoracic (CT) surgery physician assistant for over 14 years. She has served as the chief PA for several years in the cutting-edge heart surgery program at Enloe Medical Center. Shari has practiced throughout the nation, and is also a consulting trainer for a Fortune 500 medical equipment company, as well as a laser clinician. She leads the Laser services team at Agua Azul and has obtained additional medical and naturopathy training in nutrition and wellness.
Shari has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from Augustana College in Sioux Falls, SD, where she graduated with honors. During her studies, she found time to serve as an Athletic Trainer. After her undergraduate education, she attended the Yale Medical School Physician Associate Program, receiving special recognition in both surgery and primary care on her national boards.
