This year Agua Azul Oasis was voted "Best of Chico" in the Day Spa Category, Readers Choice. Below is the article from the Chico News and Review:

1ST PLACE: Agua Azul Oasis

A newcomer to the Chico spa scene, Agua Azul Oasis opened its doors in Philadelphia Square in June as a full-service Mediterranean-style day spa. The business offers microdermabrasion, laser hair removal, massage, hydrotherapy, makeup consultation, and hair and nail services. Additional services include separate "Men's Quarters" with a range of specialty services just for him, as well as bridal party packages, a couple's retreat package, bachelorette party packages, and an array of "Mediterranean tours" for business or pleasure. Blossoming from its roots as Chico Skin and Body Care, and boasting service to about 1,000 clients in the first six weeks of business, Agua Azul is Chico's first choice for spa services.

We 'quietly' opened the doors of Agua Azul Oasis on June 4, 2007; however, we had our grand opening and ribbon-cutting on July 26th with the City of Chico Chamber of Commerce hosting the ceremony. It was worth the wait! We had a fabulous turnout, as many of our families, friends, customers, and past and present partners attended the event.

The ceremonial 'Passing of the yellow rose' was one of the highlights. One of the owners exclaimed, "Annie Bidwell didn't have the option of the services we provide, but I am sure she would have enjoyed them very much."

We had many local businesses represented. The exquisite cuisine was a Mediterranean Faire, catered by Garibaldi Catering. Tours of the spa followed and were met with great surprise and delight. We honored some of our key business contributors with a plaque, placed in the spa for all to see. Some of those business partners who were instrumental in helping to make Agua Azul Oasis a reality are:

The response to our new oasis has been terrific. During the first six weeks of opening the doors of Agua Azul, we have attended to more than one thousand customers.
